Proposals for Reconciling Motherhood and University Studies: Reducing Gender Gaps in Higher Education
Main Article Content
Abstract
Balancing parenting with university studies is challenging, making it crucial for universities to ensure educational equality. Our goal was to create a proposal for institutional support to help reconcile raising children by pursuing higher education. Methodology: A two-phase qualitative design was conducted. Data was analyzed following Krippendorf's method and validated by a panel of experts. Findings and Conclusions: We identified nine key recommendations for this institutional support proposal. Ultimately, these measures aim to reduce gender gaps in higher education, providing much-needed evidence for the Latin American region where such data is currently scarce.
