Main Article Content
Abstract
The objective of this article was to examine the role of learning as an enhancer of the life project according to the perceptions of the elderly. It was carried out within the framework of a broader qualitative research that included 18 interviews with older adults. For the present work, the Projects subcategory within the Life Project category was considered and it was found that this empowering function, in many cases, is observed when learning becomes the life project itself, and that, in addition, There are several types of learning that work as a motivator to update, fulfill, socialize, develop their identity after retirement and make it possible to restructure long-delayed projects. Likewise, in older adults there is the notion that there is no single life project, but that each area of their lives is space and opportunity for parallel projects.
