Challenges faced by students and teachers at the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua due to Covid-19

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on life and education. It is essential to analyze the challenges faced by university students and teachers from their perspective. In this study, we have used analytical-synthetic, theoretical-deductive, and hermeneutical methods to guide our case. We have adopted a mixed, applied, descriptive, and field research approach, using semi-structured interviews and scales as techniques.  The participants in this study have reported being affected in various aspects of their lives, such as their families, personal well-being, finances, and family dynamics. Students have also expressed their concerns over learning less in the virtual model. However, both students and teachers have rated their competencies in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as satisfactory.
