The Argentine university system: a long-term reading transformations (1983-2015)

Abstract
The objective of the article is to study the transformations of the Argentine university system between 1983 and 2015. The growth of the number of students, the creation of new institutions and their effect on the graduation rate is analyzed. The role of institutional and political factors to explain the evolution and dynamics of the system is also studied.
