Abstract
The article presents partial results of a research that addresses the constitution of educational subjects after the analysis of educational policies. What was the beginning and descent of the Tecnológico Nacional de México that mainly trains engineers? The conceptual and methodological research referents are exposed: the political analysis of discourse (Laclau and Mouffe, 1987), from the educational sphere in Mexico, the contributions of Buenfil (1994, 2011, 2018); and the concepts of descent and emergence of Foucault (1992). The emergence of the first Technological Institutes and the emergence and descent of the TecNM are analyzed. Finally, some conclusions are exposed.
