The university bureaucracy

Abstract

The university bureaucracy forms an essential group for the institutional operation, it is an
actor of the university policy that has grown and consolidated its strength as a result of the
changes that occurred in the public universities in recent years. University tensions have
many causes but, one of them arises from the unequal distribution of power that favors
bureaucracy over the academic community. Finally, the university purpose is to strengthen
the spirit of collaboration among bureaucracy and the academy, where the academy will
define the institutional development through its effective participation in the collegiate
bodies.
