Abstract

In our environment are scarce academic follow-up studies, linking the degree of knowledge of students at the beginning of the bachelor's degree through the results obtained in a diagnostic exam, with school performance along the bachelor and the terminal efficiency. A predictive model was developed at UNAM based on the results obtained from the diagnostic exam for entering the bachelor´s degree and the monitoring of the students of the generation of 2010 school performance. The results reveal that the higher score in the diagnostic exam of knowledge for entering the bachelor´s degree, the better the school performance and terminal efficiency in the university.
