Analysis of the pertinence of a postgraduate program on Culture of Peace

Abstract

Given the current situation of violence and insecurity, the creation of a master’s degree in the culture of peace at the Autonomous University of Querétaro, Mexico, is proposed. The objective is to demonstrate the relevance of the postgraduate course based on a study of training needs and employability conditions. Among the significant results are that there is a 65% intention to apply and a 93% interest in employing graduates. It is concluded that the culture of peace is important for most students, graduates and employers in the city of Querétaro, which corresponds positively with the intention to apply and to provide employment.
