Environmental Education for Sustainability and Sustainable Development in TecNM: Curriculum review
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article focuses on the curricular discourse of the Tecnológico Nacional of Mexico, exploring the notions of environmental concern in the training of engineers. The perspective of Political Discourse Analysis (Laclau and Mouffe, 1987) and genealogy (Foucault, 1979) was recovered, understanding education and curricula as discursive practices. The research was qualitative and documentary, using study plans and educational policy documents as an empirical reference, and using matrices to order signifiers and observe their hierarchies. The methodology was hermeneutical, it sought to understand the meanings of the environment in the curricular documents, recognizing its political and contingent construction.
