Opportunities and challenges for the implementation of coexistence policies in higher education

Abstract

In the universities, authorities, academics, administrative staff, students interact, a place where a series of processes, which demand harmonious relationships among the members. The coexistence is a main axis within their development plans, which are oriented to the participation and healthy coexistence of all its members. This essay aims to reflect on the role of universities in citizenship education, based on the review of the state of the art regarding coexistence in higher education at national and international level. The work developed by the UC Coexistence Committee 2021-2023 allowed to have a UC Coexistence Policy.
