Weaving a new education in Latin America: contributions of decolonial feminisms to pedagogy
Main Article Content
Abstract
One of the greatest challenges facing the Latin American continent today is to build a different kind of education. The constant social demands urge us to rethink the way in which we produce our knowledge, from where and for what purpose. Decolonial feminisms have played a key role in criticising the way education is configured on the continent. The necessity for restructuring education in Latin America urges us to seek new ways of configuring knowledge based on contributions that open up new discussions and make more visible the battles that have been present but have not been included in the academic sphere. This paper has done a systematic literature review using the PRISMA methodology in which inclusion and exclusion criteria were established to explore the ideas, discourses, and narratives in recognising the contribution that decolonial feminisms make to education. An analysis was made, concluding that the presence of these contributions in pedagogy is still limited, which urges us to continue with this kind of investigations with the intention of spreading and weaving another way of education in the Latin American context.
