The pacifist approach to internationalization. A case study: Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa

Abstract

This article emphasizes the role of the Internationalization in the construction of peaceful coexistence in the case of Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa whose quality indicators contrast with the violence that surround the state. A case study has stated the impact on the academic development of 350 outgoing mobility students. It is concluded, that mobility encourages the international, global and intercultural learning and that it is a tool that improves professional competitiveness as well as contributes to the construction of a culture of peace in societies familiar with violence.
