“With our voices!”: The struggle of feminist students against violence

Abstract

Drawing on interviews and ethnographic observation, this article reviews the history of an organization of feminist students whose activities exposed different forms of violence against women within the School of Philosophy and Letters, at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. The analysis reveals both the achievements of these young women, as well as the resistances they faced in carrying out their movement. The article concludes by emphasizing the need for the institution to undergo a process of self-criticism regarding its role in the continuance of this type of violence.
